Dear Friend,
Thank you for attending our production of "Nunsense Amen!" We hope you enjoy the show. Through our performances we are able to keep the building operating and pay all of our expenses. We feel we are a great asset to the city of Wallace and the entire Silver Valley, performing to approximately 6,000 patrons each year.
A huge goal that we have had for quite some time was reached in the late spring of 2006. After many donations and saving diligently, we are proud to announce that we now have a new 98%-efficient furnace and central air-conditioning. The project was completed the first week of June. We are thrilled. We have tried to keep the old furnace running the past two years and don't think we would have made it through another winter.
Our goal for the 2006-2007 season is to install new electrical wiring backstage and in the upper stage area. We are, at the present, unable to adequately light our shows. Our dimmers tend to overheat, causing a fire hazard. With new wiring, we will be able to install additional lights to make the theater experience more pleasurable for our audiences.
The Silver Star program was created in 1996 to provide us with the funds to buy equipment and make capital improvements to our 100+-year-old building. Through generous support from our friends and patrons, we have been able to reach many of our goals. Some of our improvements include carpet and chandelier in the lobby, sound system, improved stage lighting, stage and proscenium curtains, keyboard, exterior paint, upstairs windows, fencing in the vacant lot next door and upstairs electrical wiring and lights.
We are asking you to become one of our Silver Star member. In doing so, your tax-deductable contribution will be honored by having your name appear in our program for the next year. The categories include:
Brass - $10
Bronze - $20
Gold - $50
Platinum - $100
Silver Star - $500
Your contribution would be greatly appreciated. You may mail your contribution to the Sixth Street Theater, Box 1234, Wallace, ID 83873 or leave it at the desk in the lobby.
Thank you,
Vern Hanson,
President, Board of Directors
